Welcome to Our Practice

Kilian Orthopaedic Services was established in 2019 and has grown from a one-man practice into a dedicated team of seven professionals. We are committed to providing the highest quality orthopaedic care, driven by our core values: patients always come first, communication is key at every stage of treatment, and we prioritise honesty and transparency in all our interactions. 

We are proud to be the only orthopaedic practice licensed to provide cranial helmets, and we actively embrace new technologies such as 3D scanning and 3D printing to manufacture custom orthotics in-house. Our growth reflects our commitment to these principles, and we continue to strive for excellence in serving our community’s orthopaedic needs.

Meet Our Team

Tiaan Kilian

As the owner and senior Medical Orthotist & Prosthetist, he has been practicing since 2010. His passion and dedication to the field extend beyond orthotics and prosthetics, as he is also committed to preventing and treating various injuries and disorders. With expertise in manufacturing Myo-Electric Prostheses, he continuously seeks to integrate the latest technologies into his practice. By regularly attending advanced courses, he ensures that his work meets international standards and incorporates cutting-edge advancements in the field.

Janke Ekkerd

Janke is our junior Medical Orthotist & Prosthetist, holding a BHSc M.O.P degree. She approaches each patient with a blend of precision and compassion, providing tailored orthopaedic solutions—whether it’s fitting an artificial limb, determining the appropriate AFO, or manufacturing custom insoles. Janke is dedicated to her craft and is helping pave the way for the next generation of Orthotists and Prosthetists in the country, setting a high standard of care and expertise.

Luandra Beukes

As the medical assistant, Luandra manages all off-the-shelf items, ensuring that each patient receives the appropriate product tailored to their needs. From fitting moon boots and back braces to carefully measuring and evaluating for compression stockings, Luandra takes the time to ensure that every item fits perfectly and comfortably. Her personalised approach not only helps patients feel at ease but also ensures that they receive the most effective support for their recovery and well-being.

Eve Pofadder

Eve is our practice manager, overseeing the accounts department and handling all medical aid claims. She ensures that patients are informed promptly and professionally about all financial matters, providing clear and timely communication throughout the process. Eve also plays a key role in fostering team cohesion, offering support and feedback to everyone. Her guidance helps maintain a collaborative and well-functioning environment within the practice.

Sonja Kilian

With over 10 years experience as a business manager, she now serves as our financial manager, ensuring that all behind-the-scenes operations run efficiently alongside the day-to-day activities of the practice.

Bernelee Rittmann

Bernelee is our friendly receptionist, ready to warmly welcome you to our practice. She manages phone calls, schedules appointments, responds to emails, and ensures that your experience at our office is seamless. From opening your file to guiding you through each step, she is dedicated to making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Sylvester Horaeb

Sylvester serves as our dedicated lab assistant, efficiently handling tasks such as skiving insoles and gluing built-up shoes to ensure smooth and continuous production in the lab. His enthusiasm and attention to detail also extend to maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the entire practice.
